    Director of Specialty Practice Details

    Essential Job Duties:

    + Ensures ongoing efficient and effective operations at the practice level through defined and applied policies and procedures, and regular monitoring and reporting. Key operational areas include:

    + Staffing

    + Billing and Accounts Receivable support

    + IS/EMR

    + Clinical issues

    + Compliance

    + Mandatory education

    + Staff development

    + Promotes and ensures consistent administration and implementation of Clinic policies and procedures throughout the practices.

    + Acts as liaison between physicians, practice managers and administration.

    + Interacts with administration team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    + Consults with Education Coordinator on all clinical/technical policy development, review, and revision.

    + Ensures provision of education and orientation programs relative to practice operations, regulatory compliance and reimbursement issues for:

    + Physicians

    + Staff

    + Ensures that documentation and reporting of in service education, training, orientation and performance improvement activities are maintained within the practices.

    + Set quantifiable goals/objectives for the practice offices which are consistent with the Clinic's mission.

    + Delegates authority and responsibility to practice managers.

    + Provides input on strategic business planning.

    + Recommends facility improvements and repairs and purchase of new/replacement capital equipment as appropriate.

    + Interacts, communicates and meets regularly with practice managers regarding operational, financial and systems issues.

    + Reviews and oversees resolution of problems.

    + Supports/facilitates professional growth and management skills development of practice managers.

    + Evaluates performance of practice managers and conducts annual performance reviews within the prescribed time frame outlined in performance evaluation and competency assessment policies.

    + Consults with and assists managers in preparation of operating and capital budgets.

    + Ensures practices are managed within designated budgets.

    + Attends professional meetings and conferences on current practices and trends in healthcare.

    + Maintains a high level of personal knowledge about current or pending laws and regulations which could influence billing and reimbursement.

    Qualifications:

    + Three year's full time experience managing in a medical practice environment.

    + Bachelor's degree in Health Care or business related required.

    + Master's Degree required.

    + Must be accomplished in written and verbal business communications.

    + Must be skilled in developing and presenting group presentations.

    + Must have flexible schedule to meet the needs of the Clinic.

    + Must have exceptional follow-up skills.
