Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Duties:

+ Contact insurance carriers by phone for claim status and resolve deficiencies for release of payment when the efforts from all other billing personnel has been exhausted.

+ Respond in a timely manner to all insurance/patient correspondence.

+ Manage the processes related to collection letters on past due accounts.

+ Review aging of A/R on a monthly basis and report them to senior billing & collections.

+ Compliance with all state and federal government regulations and billing and collections policies and procedures as set forth by center management.

+ Complete in a timely and organized manner all filing of documentation required by any of the above duties.

+ Represent the center with a positive, professional attitude and professional appearance in all activities and communications.

+ Knowledge of state and federal billing and collection laws.

+ General knowledge of automated medical billing procedures.

+ Ability to aggressively collect accounts receivable. Ability to work with mathematical figures.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate tactfully and effectively with all internal and external contacts.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ Computer literate.

+ Ability to work with co-workers, clients, and management in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.

+ Detail oriented.

+ Accuracy is the key to all tasks of this position.

+ Ability to motivate staff.

+ Process daily billing computer system back up.

+ Performs other related functions as assigned.
