    The Development Assistant provides support with activities such as scheduling donor, volunteer, trustee and physician meetings; handling acknowledgments, booking, and tracking of gifts; constituent management in donor database; preparing and processing mailings.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage Database Records: Create or modify records within the existing database, ensuring all entries adhere to the standards set by the Development Services Department.

    + Process Lockbox Batches: Organize lockbox batches upon receipt from the courier for efficient processing.

    + Data Entry of Donations: Input donations through batch entry, verifying that the amounts are accurate, codes are correctly applied, and funds align with donor specifications.

    + Facilitate Mailing Process: Process acknowledgment letters and assist in assembling them for mailing.

    + Mail Processing for Deposits: Receive incoming mail and process it for deposit, ensuring accurate handling and recording of information.

    + Customer Service: Answer the Gift Services phone line and handle both internal and external donor requests to ensure a high level of service.

    + Perform Clerical Support: Provide general clerical support as needed to support departmental operations.

    Qualifications

    + Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships, fostering a positive organizational image and donor experience.

    + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

    + Effective time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software systems quickly.

    + Professional demeanor with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
