Join us as a **Land Development** **Plan Reviewer Engineer I** , in our **Wilmington, DE** office and help bring thoughtful, sustainable development to life! This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in reviewing land development, stormwater management, and erosion control plans for our Municipal clients. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and planners to analyze technical drawings and calculations, ensuring projects meet community standards for safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable growth. What You'll Do:
+ Prepare or assist with preparation of health and safety plans, and implement health and safety plans, including client-specific requirements and documentation such as forms, job safety analysis (JSAs), etc
+ Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing and other methods
+ Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications
+ Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
+ Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
+ Perform other engineering-related tasks for projects (i.e. designs, drawing, site inspections etc.) under the supervision of senior engineers
What You Bring:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited preferred)
+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or in progress
+ 0–4 years of experience in land development or municipal engineering
+ Internship or co-op experience in stormwater, erosion control, or site planning is a plus
+ Basic proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a bonus
+ Familiarity with stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD) and GIS (e.g., ArcGIS) is helpful
+ Ability to read and interpret site plans, grading layouts, and stormwater designs
+ Understanding of municipal codes and erosion/sediment control standards
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
+ Clear written and verbal communication skills
+ Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from senior engineers
+ Passion for environmental stewardship and sustainable development
Salary Range:
The starting compensation range for this position is $65,000 annually and may increase based on experience and licensure.
