Plant Manager:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations within a gray and ductile iron foundry. This includes leadership of department heads across engineering, scheduling, maintenance, melt, molding, and processing functions. The role ensures operational excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance.
This position leads continuous improvement initiatives, manages operating and capital budgets, and drives cost reduction and quality improvement efforts. The Plant Manager serves as a key liaison with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Direct daily plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
+ Lead and develop cross-functional teams across all major departments.
+ Interpret and act on financial data to achieve profitability targets.
+ Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with customer requirements, including APQP for automotive programs.
+ Champion a proactive safety culture and implement formal safety programs.
+ Collaborate with customers and suppliers to strengthen relationships and performance.
Qualifications:
+ Proven leadership experience in foundry or heavy manufacturing environments.
+ Strong knowledge of gray and ductile iron casting processes.
+ Experience in safety, quality systems, productivity, and financial performance.
+ Familiarity with APQP, Lean, Six Sigma, and formal safety programs such as DuPont STOP.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and team-building skills. **Compensation:** for this role would pay between $175k-$225k+ salary with a complete benefit package including health, life, dental and vision insurance and an aggressive bonus plus 401k match. Relocation available if you qualify.
+ Proficiency with manufacturing systems and financial analysis tools.
**Pay Details:** $185,000.00 to $225,000.00 per year
