    Position Summary

    Under minimal supervision, the Machinist will set up and operate CNC Mills and lathes/ Okuma, Doosan lathe and Haas Milling machines to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Program CNC machines using CAMWorks software integrated with SolidWorks.

    + Perform set-up and first article on CNC Mills/ lathes in a safe and responsible manner.

    + Read and interpret blueprints.

    + Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.

    + Properly and safely load and unload raw material in CNC machinery.

    + Use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

    + Perform tool wear offsets.

    + Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.

    + Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.

    + Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.

    Required Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (mills, grinders, etc.)

    + Ability to program using Solidworks/ CAMWorks.

    + Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements

    + Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets

    + Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

    + High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.

    + U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

    Salary Range

     

    Salary range: $40-$45 an hour
