Job Summary and Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner is a member of the stroke care team that provides patient centered, evidence based and holistic care for all stroked patients; practices within defined scope of practice and in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Responsible for the stroke program which includes administration of the program under guidance of Medical Director and TJC Core Measure Standards.

+ Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame.

+ Delegates work appropriately to job classification with clear concise directions.

+ Ensures accuracy and completeness of work performed.

+ Follows hospital policy and procedure in performing job functions, skills and tasks.

+ Willing to adjust personal schedule in cases of workload fluctuations or other departmental needs.

+ When the assigned work is complete, it seeks additional tasks to be done.

+ Perform well in stress and emergency situations, demonstrating effective coping skills.

+ Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.

What qualifications you will need:
