    Special Education Paraprofessional

    Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with schools in the Swansea, MA area to hire Special Education Paraprofessionals who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. This is a meaningful opportunity to work in a collaborative school environment and make a daily impact in students’ lives.

    Position Overview:

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, (32.5-35 hours per week depending on grade level)

    + Location: Swansea, MA

    + Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year

    + Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide direct support to students in 1:1 and small group settings

    + Assist with behavior support plans and academic activities

    + Collect and record data on student behavior and progress

    + Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive learning environment

    + Offer flexible support across classrooms as needed

    Ideal Candidate:

    + Experienced in working with students with behavioral or high-needs challenges

    + Skilled in de-escalation and behavior tracking

    + Familiar with data collection tools and progress monitoring

    + Calm, patient, and adaptable in dynamic school settings

    Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Special Education or Behavioral Experience

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable)

    + Health certificate (as required)

    + Must be at least 18 years old and meet all federal, state, and local requirements
