Budget Analyst III

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Budget Analys **t** to support financial planning and execution across our programs. This role is responsible for preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing financial data, and reporting on budget performance to ensure fiscal compliance and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of budget formulation, justification, and execution, along with the ability to interpret and apply related laws, regulations, and policies.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, review, and maintain program and project budgets.
+ Monitor expenditures and ensure spending aligns with approved limits.
+ Conduct financial analysis and provide regular reports on budget performance.
+ Assist in budget formulation, justification, and execution processes.
+ Apply knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
+ Collaborate closely with the Financial Analyst and Program Manager to support program objectives.
+ Provide recommendations to improve budget efficiency and cost management.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with 4 years of experience, OR 8 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree.
+ Experience with federal budgeting processes preferred.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Active Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire
