Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Quality Inspector in Largo, FL with CMM and/or FARO inspection experience.

A CMM Faro Arm Operator uses a Faro Arm, a type of portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), to perform precise measurements and quality inspections on manufactured parts. Their responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, operating metrology software to capture data, and ensuring parts meet design specifications and quality standards. This role is crucial in industries like aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing, requiring strong attention to detail and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

•Operation:

Use the Faro Arm to scan and probe manufactured parts.

•Inspection:

Perform dimensional inspections, verifying accuracy against engineering drawings and CAD models.

•Data Analysis:

Enter and analyze inspection data using metrology software (e.g., Polyworks).

•Quality Control:

Ensure parts comply with strict quality standards and geometric tolerances.

• Documentation:

Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate quality concerns to relevant teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Experience with metrology equipment and techniques.

• Software Skills: Proficiency with Faro Arm and/or metrology software.

• Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate measurements and quality checks.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Data Analysis: Competency in data entry and analysis using computer-based systems.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years Quality Inspection within Manufacturing environment of a part/product

Experience reading engineering drawings to ensure specifications and quality check of parts

Can read GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) drawings

CMM/and or FARO inspection experience

Experience transacting parts in ERP or Excel Aerospace Quality Inspection experience
