The role you'll contribute:
The AdventHealth Flight Program Manager (FPM) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the transport team members at AirStar. This position manages the day to day operations for the flight program, and when necessary, assists the EMS Communications Center in the movement of the aircraft and its patients. The FPM develops, directs, and evaluates patient transport and dispatch services in collaboration and partnership with service line leadership, the medical directors of clinical programs, and other appropriate representatives. In addition, the FPM facilitates the implementation and evaluation of all aspects of the program: billing, marketing, policy development, certification, outreach education, continuing staff education, and continuous quality improvement. The FPM represents AdventHealth for specific patient transport projects and activities that involve referring physicians, local hospitals, community agencies, Emergency Medical Services agencies, and regulatory agencies. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of transport nurses, paramedics, communications specialists, and ancillary providers, as well as maintaining relationships with our helicopter vendors pilots and mechanics, and their supervisory and management personnel.

Directs daily operations of patient transport and dispatch services, promoting AdventHealths mission to provide high quality patient care while supporting education and research.
Works with appropriate representatives from other clinical delivery units, finance, utilization review, social services, admissions, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care and the effective integration of all health care services into an efficient, safe, and well-organized service delivery system.
Manages human resources effectively for AirStar crewmembers, including all aspects of staff management such as employee retention, hiring, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions and application of processes defined by the organization.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
+ Graduate of an accredited Paramedic or Nursing program
+ Ten years continuous experience in an EMS or Critical Care Transport system
+ Bachelors degree in business or healthcare administration, or currently enrolled in and pursuing either of those degrees
+ Active and Unrestricted Registered Nurse or Paramedic license
+ ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support
+ BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support
+ PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
+ NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Enrollment and obtainment of the Certified Medical Transport Executive certification (CMTE) within 36 months of hire
