Job Summary
Novant Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. This role works closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with current policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do
+ Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care for patients during cardiac and vascular procedures.
+ Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
+ Monitor and evaluate patient status, responding to changes with appropriate clinical interventions.
+ Operate and maintain specialized equipment used during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
+ Administer medications and contrast media as directed, while ensuring patient safety.

Education & Experience Requirements
+ Graduate from one of the following accredited education programs (required):
+ Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR)
+ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
+ Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
+ Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
+ Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P)
+ Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
+ Vascular Intervention (VI)
+ Experience requirements:
+ RN: Minimum 1 year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience (required)
+ EMT-P: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience (required)
+ RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT, or VI: 1 year of experience (preferred)
Licensure & Certifications
+ Must hold one of the following (as applicable to discipline):
+ RN: Current NC Board of Nursing License
+ RTR: ARRT Radiology credential
+ EMT-P: Paramedic credentialing/accreditation and/or associate degree from a recognized Paramedic program
+ RRT: Licensed by the NC Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
+ RCIS/RCES/CVT/VI: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
+ If not an RN or RTR with CI/VI certification, must obtain RCIS or RCES certification within 24 months of hire (required).
+ Additional requirements:
+ Successful completion of skill validations and competency testing
+ Ability to pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test
