Front-line operators in the military, law enforcement, search and rescue teams, and other areas increasingly rely on cutting-edge technologies to give them an edge in terms of planning, decision-making, and communication. We are looking for people to join us in developing artificial intelligence and machine learning based solutions, tactical battlefield situational awareness applications, and cybersecurity technologies. As part of our team, you will be developing initial prototype technologies and transitioning these technologies to operational use.

    + Work with a small team on cutting-edge research and development projects

    + Design and develop prototype software using the latest open-source technologies

    + Receive and incorporate feedback from end users, field tests, and exercises

    + Explore technical possibilities collaboratively with motivated, world class colleagues

    + Deliver practical solutions to complex problems

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + BS degree in Computer Science plus 4 years of related experience, or MS plus 2 years’ experience

    + Significant experience with Java, Linux, and Computer Networking

    + US citizenship is required

    Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

    The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
