Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Description
This role involves traveling to large material handling sites to perform controls qualifications, specifically focusing on I/O checks for newly installed equipment. The ideal candidate will be centrally located, with projects primarily based in the western region.
Responsibilities
+ Travel to various sites up to 80% of the time, typically Monday to Friday over two weeks, followed by a one-week break.
+ Perform I/O checks on 10-20 conveyance lines at material handling sites.
+ Engage in PLC programming and debugging with vendors, primarily using Ladder Logic, which constitutes 75% of the role.
+ Ensure vendor quality assurance and compliance with IQ/OQ standards.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in PLC Programming
+ Proficiency in Python or Java
+ Strong knowledge in controls engineering
+ Ability to travel extensively
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in vendor management
+ Understanding of vendor quality assurance and IQ/OQ standards
Work Environment
When not traveling, candidates have the flexibility to work remotely from home. The position involves a significant amount of travel, with an estimated schedule of Monday to Friday for three weeks, followed by a one-week break. The environment offers the opportunity to be part of a new and growing team with potential for more work after the initial contract.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
