    Job Opportunity: Customer Service Representative (CSR2) – Call Center (Remote, NJ Residents Only)

     

    Project: NJ SBE Open Enrollment Support

     

    Pay Rate: $18.00 – $19.00/hour (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred)

    About the Project

    Join the NJ SBE Project, the New Jersey State Base Exchange, supporting individuals and families during the Open Enrollment period. This role involves front-line contact center support and back-office operations including paper application data entry, document linking, and DMI resolution.

    Position Details

    Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR2) – Call Center

     

    Type: Temporary Contract

    Recruiting: Restricted to New Jersey residents

    Work Setup: Remote (BYOD – Bring Your Own Device; second monitor required. MAC/iOS not supported. Monitors may be provided if needed.)

    Training Schedule

    + Duration: 3 weeks

    + Timing: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST

     

    Hours of Operation

    Open Enrollment (Nov 1 – Jan 31):

    + Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST

    + Sat: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

    + Last 2 Sundays of OE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

    + Last 3 days of OE: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM EST

    + One-week post-OE: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST

    Non-Open Enrollment:

    + Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

    Responsibilities

    + Answer inbound calls from consumers regarding health care coverage.

    + Assist with applications, eligibility determinations, and enrollment.

    + Handle life event changes, demographic updates, and disenrollment requests.

    + Document all inquiries and interactions in applicable systems.

    + Facilitate translation services and escalate issues as needed.

    + Attend training sessions and stay updated on program policies.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    + Associate’s degree or higher preferred

    Experience:

    + Minimum 6 months of customer service or call center experience

    + Strong data entry and phone handling skills

    + Comfortable in fast-paced environments

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills

    + Experience with headsets, phone systems, and computers preferred

    + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

    Background Check Requirements

    + Orange Tree Package 1 – (No drug test)

    + MedScan OIG/GSA clearance required

    + International checks must be pre-approved

    + Exclusion List Screening required

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
