Description:
Summary:The Business Intelligence Manager is expected to be a highly motivated, successful individual who will manage the corporation’s Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This position requires an ability to manage the technical aspects of our BI solutions platform as well understand how to develop solutions that drive net revenue for the corporation. Position is responsible for overseeing development, maintenance, and training on all BI solutions to enable data-driven decision making. The position requires a balance of technical knowledge, business strategies, problem solving, report development, and communication skills. The BI manager will ensure the BI solutions platform is properly documented and maintained while supporting ad-hoc queries, creation of report solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and OLAP cubes. They will design/maintain/alter Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) via MS-Visual Studios as well as be responsible for evaluation of new BI tools for inclusion into the BI tool set.
Essential Functions:
+ Provides leadership in all matters related to our BI solutions platform.
+ Responsible for training, development and management of Business Intelligence staff.
+ Provides direction to outside consultant on design modifications and maintenance of BI data warehouse.
+ Responsible for understanding and executing the strategic initiatives of the company; developing milestones and tactical plans for implementation into the BI solutions platform.
+ Responsible for the development and oversight of data audit processes from source systems to all Business Intelligence tools.
+ Makes modifications to ETL packages via SSIS
+ Makes modifications to OLAP cube solutions via SSAS.
+ Responsible for evaluation of new BI tools for incorporation into the BI toolset.
+ Oversees development of reporting solutions using SSRS and SSAS by providing oversight to design and deployment process of other Business Intelligence Analysts.
+ Responsible for ensuring all ETL packages execute correctly, troubleshooting any irregularities or failures until resolved.
+ Ensures creation of required documentation on system procedures and development efforts.
+ Meets directly with business partners to obtain/understand business requirements, create functional and technical designs, builds related reporting solutions, while performing quality assurance of BI solutions.
+ Meets regularly with BI consultant, providing design direction for ETL’s from internal and external sources.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
+ Ability to write advanced queries using T-SQL required.
+ Previous experience using the following required: MS-SQL, SSRS, MSVS, SSAS, SSIS, and Excel Pivots.
+ Previous experience/exposure with the following systems preferred: Konami Synkros, LMS, InfoGenesis, MGT, Tableau, or Uncia.
+ Ability to think logically.
+ Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of development while prioritizing commitments and managing time effectively
+ Must possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
+ Must be detail oriented, have ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, regularly meet/exceed service level agreement requirements, and provide excellent internal customer service.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
