    About the Role

     

    As a Consulting Manager within our Mortgage Technology practice, you will lead strategic Empower LOS configuration and implementation initiatives for top-tier banking clients. With 8–10 years of experience, you will manage cross-functional teams and client engagements, delivering solutions that enhance origination workflows, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation.

     

    This role demands deep expertise in Empower LOS, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

    In this role you will:

    • Lead configuration of Empower LOS workflows, user roles, automated task triggers, document packages, compliance checks, and reporting modules.

    • Translate complex business requirements into technical configuration specifications and oversee implementation.

    • Manage Empower LOS implementation and optimisation projects, including legacy system migrations and new feature rollouts.

    • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and vendor teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of configuration changes.

    • Oversee system testing, validation, and troubleshooting of Empower LOS updates and enhancements.

    • Maintain comprehensive configuration documentation including setup guides, change logs, and user manuals.

    • Ensure compliance with TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and other mortgage regulations.

    • Support UAT cycles and lead training sessions for origination staff on new features and workflows.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking or financial IT, with direct hands-on experience configuring Empower LOS.

    • Strong understanding of residential mortgage origination processes.

    • Proven expertise in LOS configuration, workflow automation, process mapping, and technical documentation.

    • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and vendor integrations (e.g., RealEC, Equifax).

    • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence.

    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

    • Experience with Empower version upgrades and regression testing.

    • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

    • Demonstrated leadership in consulting engagements and client delivery.

    Compensation

     

    $95,000-$125,000. This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
