CONCRETE FINISHER
We are looking for a **Concrete Finisher** . As a Concrete Finisher, you play a key role in building and restoring concrete structures like sidewalks, roads, and curbs, using both hand and power tools to ensure precision and durability. This physically active role requires attention to safety, weather readiness, and skill in shaping, sealing, and maintaining concrete surfaces. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
+ Create sidewalks, roads, curbs, etc. using a variety of hand and power tools
+ Must be able to align forms for sidewalks, curbs or gutters, patch voids and use saws to cut expansion joints
+ Perform job tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company policy
+ Use shovels, picks, axes, and machinery
+ Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete
+ Waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces
+ Install anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
+ Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles
+ Ensure the proper use of personal safety equipment
+ Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
+ Maintain a clean job site and to pick up all tools and equipment and secure the jobsite each day
+ Other duties assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Valid Driver’s License
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Preferred experience within the Construction, Pipeline or Gas Distribution industry
+ Excellent reading skills to understand all construction warning signs
+ Flexible working hours
+ Physical activity for the role includes:
+ Exposure to variable weather conditions including hot and cold weather
+ Exposure to loud work environments
+ Standing, and walking for long periods, on variable terrain
+ Repeated lifting, pulling and carrying heavy objects up to 75 lbs
+ Repeated motions such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead
+ Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
