The **Production Technologist I** is responsible for producing, testing, and packaging biological reagents and laboratory solutions by following and maintaining detailed written procedures. The **Production Technologist I** is responsible for adhering to Production protocols, QMS related procedures and activities, and support of inter-departmental objectives. This is a **full time opportunity located in Portland, Oregon with a Monday - Friday first shift schedule.**
Job Description
+ Accurately follow detailed instructions for the production of biological reagents and kits as outlined in controlled documentation and manufacturing policies, procedures, and work instructions
+ Formulate, culture, evaluate, aliquot, label, package, and test reagents.
+ Execute production protocols to produce products within specifications
+ Provide peer review on Production related document revisions. Initiate such revisions as appropriate.
+ Complete production work orders on schedule under the direction of Production Management
+ Create and accurately maintain production-related documents and records for production and quality assurance
+ Monitor supplies of raw materials related to production activities, and report inventory needs to Production management, as appropriate
+ Perform qualification, and in-process production tests
+ Familiar with company procedures regarding change notice processes, and initiate action when discrepancies are identified
+ Maintain test equipment used in production processes, as appropriate
+ Follow company procedures for non-conforming products, returned goods, and other defective material, completing reports and advisories
+ Assist research and development in the testing of new products if needed
+ Follow all safety procedures and requirements
+ Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People Clients and Performance
Requirements
+ Minimum 1 years of work experience in a laboratory, production, manufacturing setting.
+ Bachelor's degree in a scientific field of study like Molecular Biology, Chemistry or other scientific degrees, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
