**General Assignment** : Work on project teams, reporting to project manager, on design and construction engineering projects, including: development; piped utilities, storm and sanitary sewers and water mains; storm water detention facilities; parking lots; and streets, highways and intersections. Perform investigations, analysis and design. Prepare calculations, development of details and technical reports and construction plans, including specifications and estimates. Interpret plans for design intent. Evaluate construction for compliance with contract documents and interact with testing and engineering support personnel. Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications. Provide technical advice to managers regarding design, construction, and program modifications. Test materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, and steel. Analyze surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.

**Qualifications:** Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, 2 years’ experience in job offered and verifiable references.
