• Safety Engineer

    Sartorius (Hondo, TX)


    The Occupational Health and Safety (hereinafter OH&S) Professional will be responsible for the implementation of all kinds of employee health and safety regulations and legislation (law, ISO 45001 etc.). The goal is to have all necessary policies in place and keep a high standard in all fields of safety and company health.

     

    •Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

    + Develop and implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments

    + Contribute to the development of the overall company EHS strategy

    + Investigate accidents, incidents and sources of risk and liaise with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents / risks and prevent their recurrence

    + Provide advice and training on safety protocols and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to OH&S

    + Implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions with negative impact on the OH&S

    + Organize activities and programs in connection with the company EHS program

    + Keep close relationships with all internal stakeholders involved in company EHS programs and OH&S performance and engage with external stakeholders like authorities/governments

    + Control and track success of OH&S activities

    Qualification & Skills:

    + Bachelor's degree in safety, health

    + Minimum 3 years of work experience

    + Qualification of occupational safety 1st degree(산업안전기사 1급) above

    + Deep understanding and know how on legal framework regarding OH&S

    + Ability to work independently with general supervision

    + Very analytical approach as well as project management skills

    + Ability to influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices

    + Fluent in English
