    Description

    Physical Therapist Assistant – Full TimePay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver skilled therapy interventions in our 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Provide physical therapy interventions as ordered by the referring physician under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

    + Communicate patient progress or challenges to the supervising therapist to update goals and adjust care plans as needed

    + Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with state laws and under co-signature of the supervising therapist

    + Carry out therapy sessions focused on areas such as:

    + Range of Motion and joint mobility

    + Pain management and muscle strengthening

    + Posture, balance, body mechanics, and gait/ambulation activities

    + Cardiovascular endurance

    + Patient and family education

    + Implementation of individualized home exercise programs

    Qualifications

    + Licensed and registered in New York State as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

    + Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

    + Strong communication and organizational skills

    + Ability to work collaboratively with therapy staff, patients, and families

    + Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to provide high-quality care
