The role you'll contribute:
+ Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with department protocols. This position assists physicians with interventional procedures such as transesophageal and stress echocardiograms. This role ensures knowledge and execution of all applicable departmental processes, and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures.

+ Essential Function Performs routine and complex studies, in addition to assisting with a variety of imaging procedures.
+ obtains the highest quality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus.
+ Adapts procedure to each patients medical situation obtaining all available necessary information for proper interpretation.
+ Enters testing conditions, observations, test results, and patient demographic information into patient records.
+ Communicates abnormal findings to the reading physicians and notifies the physicians of procedures to be interpreted.
+ Performs scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, coding, billing, and reimbursement activities.
+ Sets up and adjusts imaging equipment while manually maneuvering transducers to perform exams. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and other departmental regions.
+ Maintains supply inventory and restocks to maintain proper operating levels.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Minimum of an Associates Degree
+ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or
+ Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and
+ Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or
+ Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
