    IT Engineer

    Salary Range : $120,000-$150,000 USD per year

    Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (www.atrcorp.com) is seeking to fill the following full-time permanent position.     PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as an Information Technology Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD.  You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology. The applicant will have an opportunity to work in the Electronics Ordnance Engineering group working on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology including in support of developing and testing military electronic warfare jamming systems.  Duties include but not limited to:

     

    + Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).

    + Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users and systems. This includes identifying root causes of problems and implementing effective solutions.

    + Network Support: Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of local area networks (LANs), ensuring network connectivity and performance.

    + Security: Assist in implementing and enforcing security protocols to protect systems and data from threats.

    + Training: Provide basic training and guidance to users on new software or hardware.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    + Minimum B.S. degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent

    + 10+ years of IT engineering experience

    SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

    + Experience with software tools such as Atlassian and Macrium

    + Experience with Network deployment and troubleshooting

    + Experience with computing hardware installation and troubleshooting

    + Experience with Technical writing

    + A self-starter able to work on tasks individually or as part of a small technical team

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate, both orally and in writing

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

    + Travel to other Navy sites, test ranges, and contractor sites in CONUS may be required (occasionally)

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation a plus.
