Summary

Lays out, fits, can interpret blueprints to customer specifications for al pipe sized from 1" to 14".

Qualifications

+ One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training

+ 3 years of pipe fitting required

+ 3-5 years of experience working in an manufacturing environment

+ Ability to read blueprints and use math skills

+ Ability to read and interpret a tape measure

+ Must be able to work as a team

+ Ability to pass a drug test

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints.

+ Assemble or secure pipes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding.

+ Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.

+ Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment, using hand or power tools.

+ Knowledge of API 1104 and ASME weldments highly desirable

+ Use advanced math including trigonometry

+ Knowledge of pipe formulas

+ Knowledge of Pipe Fittings and Takeoffs

+ Ability to layout and segment pipe to customer specs

+ Ability to cut pipe, and knowledge of beveling practices
