Job Title: NDE Quality Engineer
Job Description
Join our Electromagnetic Systems Group in Shannon, Mississippi Manufacturing Facility as a Non-Destructive Examination/Testing (NDE/NDT) Quality Engineer. In this role, you will utilize your ASNT Certified LVL III and/or TC-1A or NAS 410 qualifications to resolve complex material and mechanical problems, focusing on the NDE/NDT of production parts and failure analysis of parts in service. You will work under general supervision, employing various NDE/NDT methods to support contractual and organizational requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Determine and develop effective approaches for resolving a wide range of difficult material and mechanical problems.
+ Participate in investigations using various NDE/NDT methods such as Visual (VT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Radiography (RT), and Liquid Penetrant (LP) to document findings, communicate results, and make technical presentations.
+ Coordinate segments of specific projects and engage in frequent inter-organization and customer contact related to complex technical issues.
+ Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing engineers, quality inspectors, and other internal quality engineers to solve design, production, and field support issues.
+ Work with the Company Certifying NDT Level III to develop company procedures, troubleshoot, and maintain test systems and instruments for nondestructive testing/inspection.
+ Train, qualify, and maintain NDT personnel qualification certifications.
+ Advise design engineers on appropriate NDE/NDT methods for products at various production stages.
+ Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
+ Analyze design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
+ Assist in determining root cause of failure on various reported field failures of EMS products and components.
+ Ensure accurate and effective collection and interpretation of data to support corrective action recommendations.
+ Audit supplier NDE/NDT programs and systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Essential Skills
+ ASNT Level 3 Certified in Radiography (RT)
+ Experience with ERP/SAP systems
+ AWS/CWI experience
+ Knowledge of NDT methods per drawing information to welded joints in accordance with AWS D17.1, D1.1, D.1.6, D1.2, and NAVSEA TechPubs specifications
+ Experience with Windchill
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with General Dynamics Electric Boat is a plus
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in Shannon, MS Manufacturing Facility within an Electromagnetic Systems Group. You will work closely with technical experts. The environment requires collaboration with various teams and offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $89110.00 - $155680.00/yr.
