**Position:** Crisis Clinical Manager
**Location:** Multiple sites across Arizona
**Employment Type:** Full-Time
**Compensation:** $72,000 – $80,410 annually (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a **Clinical Manager** , a licensed behavioral health professional, to provide leadership, training, supervision, and program oversight within a dynamic behavioral healthcare environment. The Clinical Manager supports clinical staff in delivering high-quality services, conducts staffings and consultations, develops training programs, ensures fidelity to evidence-based practices, and collaborates with program leadership to improve outcomes.
This role also provides direct clinical supervision (if independently licensed), reviews and signs Behavioral Health Assessments and Risk Assessments, and supports clinical operations to ensure compliance with state, federal, and ethical standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Support
+ Review Behavioral Health Assessments and Risk Assessments, providing timely feedback and BHP signatures.
+ Observe groups, ensure adherence to prescribed curriculum, and provide coaching to staff.
+ Provide training and support in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and patient engagement.
+ Resolve unresolved clinical complaints and coordinate with leadership.
+ Deliver ongoing training to multidisciplinary teams (Clinicians, RNs, Peer Support, Patient Care Techs).
+ Maintain external partnerships to support continuity of care pre- and post-discharge.
Clinical Program Implementation & Monitoring
+ Track clinical outcomes, report trends, and create corrective action plans when needed.
+ Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices and specialized programming (SMI, involuntary programs, criminal justice programs, etc.).
+ Conduct quarterly fidelity audits and provide technical assistance to staff.
+ Collaborate with leadership to improve programming and patient outcomes.
Clinical Staffing & Consultation
+ Lead weekly clinical staffings to review cases and address issues.
+ Provide real-time clinical consultation to staff during business hours and assigned on-call shifts.
+ Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
+ Identify staff training needs and collaborate with leadership to address them.
Supervisory Responsibilities
+ Supervise assigned staff including Discharge Supervisors and Family Liaisons (when applicable).
+ Participate in hiring, interviewing, and candidate recommendations.
+ Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, timesheets, and PTO approvals.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
+ **Master’s degree** in a behavioral health-related field.
+ Licensed (Associate or Independent level) with the **Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners** as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Substance Abuse Counselor.
+ 1–3 years of behavioral health experience preferred.
+ Fingerprint clearance card required.
+ Valid AZ driver’s license and clean 39-month MVR.
Skills & Competencies
+ Strong knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral health care.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate clinical teams.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
+ Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
