Take your career to the next level

My client is delivering one of the largest infrastructure projects in Hawaiʻi’s history: the multi-billion-dollar replacement of a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. This long-term federal program will expand the Navy’s maintenance capacity and strengthen national defense.

We are seeking experienced Superintendents to lead marine, utilities, and heavy civil scopes on this mission-critical program. This is a career-defining opportunity to manage one of the most complex construction efforts in the Pacific.

    What You’ll Do

+ Lead, train, and supervise field crews and subcontractors on marine, utility, and heavy civil scopes (concrete, steel, earthwork, underground utilities).

+ Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with federal standards, EM 385-1-1 protocols, and environmental requirements.

+ Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to monitor work progress and resolve issues in real time.

+ Develop and maintain critical path schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

+ Manage subcontractor sequencing and optimize labor and equipment utilization.

+ Ensure delivery, storage, and proper use of heavy equipment, formwork, materials, and marine construction tools.

+ Track production and equipment costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.

+ Maintain strong communication with government stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams.

+ Support project documentation, QC records, and closeout deliverables.

    What We Expect

+ Serve as a hands-on leader in the field, setting the standard for safety, productivity, and quality.

+ Anticipate sequencing, schedule, and compliance challenges, and deliver timely solutions.

+ Build trust with diverse crews, subcontractors, and federal partners.

+ Promote a culture of accountability, fairness, and teamwork on-site.

    Qualifications

+ 10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5+ years as a Superintendent on heavy civil, marine, or utility projects.

+ Experience with dry docks, piers, waterfront facilities, or federal construction strongly preferred.

+ In-depth knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards, hazard identification, and three-phase QC.

+ Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and marine construction drawings.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 scheduling experience preferred.

+ Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven ability to manage subcontractors and field crews.

+ Must be eligible for base access and able to work on secure federal sites.

    Why Join My Client?

+ Competitive Pay: $120K–$160K, commensurate with heavy civil/marine experience.

+ Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Holidays, and 401(k) with employer match.

+ Career Growth: Join a long-term federal program with advancement opportunities across marine, civil, and utilities scopes.

+ Impact: Contribute to one of the most important infrastructure projects in Hawaiʻi and directly support U.S. national defense.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Superintendent ready to lead at the forefront of marine and heavy civil construction, managing a program that will have lasting local and national impact.
