Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team of professionals at our manufacturing location in Hanover, Pennsylvania. The position will be responsible for the development and administration of mechanical engineering design and will report directly to the leadership team. This role offers opportunities for growth while providing support to both sales and manufacturing groups.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and approve conceptual design, detail assembly, and general arrangement 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication.

+ Verify design and detail drawings to meet industry and customer standards.

+ Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving manufacturing issues.

+ Drive innovation and lead design reviews.

+ Research and propose new technologies based on client feedback and vendor visits.

+ Collaborate with and support customers to ensure satisfaction from sale to delivery.

+ Troubleshoot equipment via phone, internet, or site visits to customer facilities.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 7 years of machine design experience.

+ Exceptional proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

+ Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

+ Leadership and problem-solving skills.

+ Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication principles.

+ Project management experience including budgeting and resource allocation.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines.

+ Effective communication skills.

+ Willingness to travel locally to customer facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Basic knowledge of food processing equipment.

+ Experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus.

+ Knowledge of industrial electrical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in our manufacturing site in Hanover, PA, where you will work on a small team. This setting allows you to take on various responsibilities and participate in multiple projects simultaneously. Founded in 1968, the company has grown significantly and now includes multiple brands, office locations, and a large team of over 150 members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
