Job Title: Landscape Architecture Group Leader Job Description
We are seeking a creative and established Land Planner/Landscape Architecture Group Manager for our well-established studio. This individual will be at the helm of overall staffing, supervision, management, and growth of the studio. Responsibilities
+ Lead and direct the Landscape Architecture and Planning team in the office.
+ Partner with clients to advance master plans, develop site plans, manage the rezoning and entitlement processes, and implement improvements.
+ Manage design development, preparation and/or administration of the contract documents, cost estimates, agency correspondence, client relations, staff supervision, and mentoring.
+ Engage in large-scale master planned developments, urban infill sites, residential, commercial sites, greenways/park and recreation, and various mixed-use projects.
+ Build the team and overall growth of the department.
+ Present to public officials and planning boards, along with public engagement.
+ Conduct business development and marketing of clients, including networking and active participation in professional development forums.
+ Prepare project contracts, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in landscape architecture, urban planning, and project management.
+ Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and land/site development.
+ A degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning from an accredited program is preferred.
+ Professional registration as a Landscape Architect or Certified Planner.
+ 8 or more years of professional experience in Land Planning/Landscape Architecture with a diverse portfolio.
+ Strong background in the land development design industry, site and master planning, and oversight of landscape architectural construction documents.
+ Understanding of the entitlement and permitting processes for the city and surrounding communities.
+ Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suites, and Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent financial management skills.
+ Experience in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with local codes, ordinances, and public agency standards related to land development design.
+ Strong business development skills and knowledge of the local land development market.
+ Strong collaboration and presentation skills in front of boards and councils.
+ Ability to liaise with public and private sector clients, maintain client relationships, manage projects, and mentor staff.
+ Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
+ Experience with developing and following a formalized QA/QC program.
Work Environment
The individual would be working in an office environment local to PNC arena with 10% travel in the field. This role will provide a healthy backlog of work within the private and public sector and the tools to expand or grow the group as desired.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
