Are you an impactful and results-oriented leader ready to drive significant growth within Mondelēz International's Americas Export Business? As a Strategic Business Leader, you will spearhead the development and execution of strategies to maximize revenue, volume, and market share across core and local categories. You will empower and develop a high-performing team of regional sales managers and sales representatives, ensuring alignment with the overall sales and core strategy while building capabilities across the senior sales team.
How you will contribute
As a Strategic Business Leader, you will:
+ Drive Strategic Point-of-Sales Execution: Define and champion innovative point-of-sales strategies to maximize brand visibility and drive consumer engagement.
+ Champion In-Store Excellence: Oversee the flawless execution and optimization of in-store activities (distribution, promotion, shelving) to exceed performance targets.
+ Lead Trade Optimization: Spearhead trade negotiations and optimize trade spending strategies to achieve maximum ROI and competitive advantage.
+ Cultivate Key Account Partnerships: Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial growth and alignment.
+ Establish a Culture of Best Practices: Foster a collaborative environment by sharing best practices in field sales force organization, sales tool innovation, hot zone activation, and impulse strategies across the region.
Main Responsibilities
+ Strategic Vision & Execution: Establish and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive Export business growth within Mondelēz International's defined geography of Latin America and North America. Prepare business budgets and updates, presenting them to senior management for approval.
+ Performance Management & Communication: Direct processes to estimate, track, and communicate the achievement of sales (revenue, profit & volume) objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
+ Marketing Investment Optimization: Direct the strategic allocation and analysis of marketing budget investments to maximize return on investment and drive brand growth.
+ Channel Development & Expansion: Counsel the development and implementation of channel-specific marketing and distribution strategies to increase agreed geographical and product coverage.
+ Portfolio Management & Collaboration: Align core/non-core portfolio strategies, marketing support initiatives, and distributor development plans with the General Manager, Caribbean, and BU management.
+ Team Leadership & Development: Manage the process to structure, recruit, develop, and train a high-performing Export Business Development team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

+ Exceptional Communication & Negotiation Skills: Well-developed skills in communication and negotiation, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

**What you need to know about this position:** The AMEX Director position is responsible for the performance of Mondelēz International Export Business in Latin America and North America from a commercial perspective and the long-term strategy development through aligning Export Strategy with Americas and defining opportunities for profitable growth. Reporting to this role are 4 Business Development Managers.
The AMEX Cluster operates within 45 countries via a network of 106 third-party customers who operate as Distributors in the Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, Club, Hyper and Foodservice/AFH channels.
The business portfolio categories are: Beverages, Biscuits, Candy, Chocolate, Cheese and Grocery, which are comprised of 75 brands / 1,200 skus are globally sourced from Mondelēz, external co-manufacturers and licensors.
America Export Annual Est. Net Revenue: $140MM.
The AMEX Director is a key member of the Management team Total Annual WACAM Revenue*: +$900MM.

Job specific requirements:
+ Minimum 15 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with emphasis in marketing, trade marketing, sales, and export logistics.Minimum 5 years of experience in dealing with and developing third-party distributors (understanding of different channels of trade, high and low-end trade retailers).Complete understanding of Sales and Marketing principles and concepts.In-depth Business understanding and experience – ability to understand business mechanisms.Full bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
**Travel requirements:** 40-50% international travel required.
The base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $246,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
