Requirements
Major Job Duties
+ Coordinates with Principal Investigator (PI), school, department, and central administration to ensure clinical research and related activities comply with federal regulations and university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
+ Assists the PI in developing materials and tools to train individuals involved in the study on protocol requirements, visit schedules, and research plan execution, and maintains documentation of training.
+ Assists the Principal Investigator in ensuring all key personnel or persons engaged in the research project have met training requirements as per federal regulations and university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
+ Cooperates with university and sponsoring agency compliance and monitoring efforts related to human research participant protection and reports noncompliance instances to the appropriate compliance office.
+ Works with the PI to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
+ Works with PI and Co-Is in the recruitment and consenting of participants.
+ Collection of specimens from consented participants.
+ Appropriate storage and shipping of specimens to sponsoring agency.
+ Retains all study records under sponsor requirements and university policies and procedures.
+ Assist the PI with research-related activities.
+ Cooperates with university compliance and monitoring efforts related to sponsored program administration, reports noncompliance instances to the appropriate compliance office, coordinates and facilitates monitoring and auditing visits, and notifies institutional officials of external audits by FDA and sponsors.
+ Collaborates with the PI and institutions to audit findings and implement approved recommendations.
Education/Experience
+ Minimum of an Associates degree is required.
+ Preferred-3 months of experience, but could be acquired on the job.
Skill Requirements
+ Communication skills.
+ Writing skills.
+ Organizational skills.
+ Fluent in the use of Microsoft software (word, PowerPoint, excel).

+ Good interpersonal relationships and ability to work in a group (teamwork/team player).
