Overview
Job Summary
The Maintenance Tech 2 role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role will perform advanced maintenance tasks, diagnose issues, and ensure the optimal functioning of equipment.
Required Soft Skills and Abilities
+ Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team environment.
+ Proficiency in using computers and tablets to input data into maintenance management systems.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
+ Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Responsibilities
Functions and Responsibilities
Machine Maintenance
+ Perform routine service and preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various machines.
+ Replace components such as cylinders, pumps, bearings, and other machine parts.
+ Set up and conduct minor repairs on hand tools and machinery.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to machine operations.
+ Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair assistance, parts procurement, and service-related needs.
+ Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on air compressors and associated systems.
+ Install machine-related systems including vacuum lines, ductwork, and other auxiliary components.
+ Operate various types of mobile equipment, including proficiency in using a 60-ft articulating lift.
Building and Facility Maintenance Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and repair plumbing issues involving toilets, urinals, sinks, and water coolers.
+ Install and replace water cooler filters.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including breakers, panel boxes, lighting fixtures, and other related components.
+ Replace ballasts and light fixtures as needed.
+ Maintain roof drainage systems including gutters and downspouts.
+ Perform minor repairs on building doors, roll-up doors, and security gates.
+ Repair and replace ceiling tiles
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. 4 years of experience with a high school diploma or GED.
2. Completion of a certified apprenticeship program, preferred.
3. Journeyman license, preferred.
