    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for a Software Engineer to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in support of our programs in Huntsville, AL.

     

    The selected candidate's tasking encompasses the following: Design, develop, document, test, and debug automation tools collecting software metrics. Inform, update, and advise Program Management on the improvement and deprecation of various metrics. Collaborate with Agile Software Teams and Technical Leadership to drive process improvement. Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) and support development of Earned Value Management artifacts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, boasts a strong technical background, and has an interest in the Financial and Program Management aspects of a large Software Program.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + T02: Bachelor’s in science with 2 years of experience, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or master’s degree

    + T03: Bachelor’s in science 5 years of experience, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); master’s with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 year of experience

    + **Must have Active Secret Security Clearance**

    + Experience developing software using Object-Oriented Programming (Python, Java, C++)

    + Experience developing software on Linux

    + Experience managing source code using Git, GitHub, or GitLab

    + Understanding of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile/Dev*Ops environment

    Qualifications that would be nice to have:

    + Experience with Python

    + Experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate

    + Experience with Visual Studio Code

    + Experience with Unit testing

    + Experience with Jira and Confluence

    + Experience supporting Technical Management

    + Experience Leading a Scrum Team

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $128,000.00

     

    Secondary Level Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $158,000.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
