    **Summary of Objective:** The Calibration Services Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of instrumentation and equipment used in pharmaceutical packaging operations. This position serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in calibration activities and will require strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operational support. This role will also assist department management in running the training program and in technical procedure development.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

    + Directly oversees and conducts training activities for 2-5 Calibration Technicians.

    + Serves as technical SME of calibration activities.

    + Accountable for calibration on-the-job training checklist completion and accuracy.

    + Identify department training needs and conduct activities as required.

    + Monitor on-going training and provide refresher training as applicable.

    + Conduct or oversee regular department training program sessions on industry-related topics.

    + Periodically evaluate the department training program and perform/recommend updates when needed.

    + Develop and revise department-specific procedures, job aids, and on-the-job checklists based on training and technical needs.

    + Performs calibration and performance verification activities.

    + Assists in completion of Non-Conformance Reports, Out of Tolerance Reports and investigations, and Product Impact Assessments.

    + Assists in review and approval of calibration activities.

    + Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams regarding calibration practices, instrument handling, and troubleshooting as required.

    + This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

    + Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

    + Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.

    + Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

    On an average day, the individual can expect to move and/or transport up to 100 pounds

     

    between 1/4 and 1/2 of the day.

    Required:

    + Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-7 years related experience and/or training.

    + College Level Mathematical Skills

    + Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.

    + Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

    + High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.

    Preferred:

    + Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.

    + Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.

    + Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

    + Ability to display a willingness to make decisions.

    + Ability to display excellent time management skills.

    + Ability to set and achieve challenging goals.

     

    The base salary hiring range for this position is ($77,600 - $97,000) plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise. PCI offers full-time employees a competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance coverage (including dental and vision), flexible spending account, and 401(k).
