    Special Education Teacher – Elementary SDC Behavior Program | $48/hr Local or $2,100/wk Travel | Full-Time | Austin, TX

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary-level SDC behavior program in Austin, TX. This full-time, in-person role begins October 6, 2025 and runs for 30 weeks, filling a key instructional gap.

    Position Overview:

    + Location: Austin, TX

    + Start Date: October 6, 2025

    + Duration: 30 weeks

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 3:15 PM

    + Hours: 37.5/week

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Pay Rate: $48/hour (local) or $2,100/week (travel)

    + Caseload: 3–4 students

    + Grade Levels: K–5

    + Program Focus: SDC behavior

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide academic instruction and behavioral support to K–5 students

    + Collaborate with general education and support staff

    + Implement individualized student programs

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid Texas teaching certificate (SPED and EC–6 required)

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

    + One year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
