The Facility Management Engineer (Mechanical) ensures optimal operational outcomes through inspection, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment, including plant utilities and HVAC sys. at the Songdo campus. This role assumes key responsibility for managing facilities to ensure compliance with local regulations and safe, efficient operation. The primary objective is to support employees in working in an optimal environment through the installation, commissioning, and validation processes of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
+ Review mechanical equipment design documents and supervise installation and construction.
+ Perform commissioning and qualification of mechanical equipment and create SOPs.
+ Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
+ Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on the facility: Mechanical and other installed system.
+ Carry out routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability of mechanical equipment systems.
+ Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
+ Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
+ Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
+ Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
+ Perform qualification and safety management for Plant Utilities: Chiller, Boiler, Gas system.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree mechanical engineering or similar subject.
Experiences:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a role as a mechanical equipment engineer.
Sepcialized Knowledge & Skills:
+ Industrial engineer air-conditioning and refrigerating machinery certification is required.
+ Preference for those with utilities operation experience in pharma and biotech industries.
+ Preference given to candidates with energy management and gas-related certifications.
+ Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Project and vendor management skills.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience with AutoCAD, CMMS, MS Office, and other related tools.
Language:
+ Preferred intermediate level of English.
Working Conditions/Environment:
+ Willingness to travel if needed.
