Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support the powder coat and paint group at one of our largest material handling logistics clients in Columbus, Indiana. This individual will serve as the project lead for production process optimization and automation initiatives, driving efficiency across operations across the powder coat and paint areas. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning and procuring for large-scale capital projects, developing strategies from concept through execution. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, and external vendors to ensure cost-effective, high-impact solutions.

Skills and Requirements

Must haves:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Materials/Chemical) OR associate degree in a technical field with applicable experience

2+ years of experience as an engineer

Experience with robotics

Experience with Powder coat and paint

Planning and designing prints for process improvement and floor layout changes

Planning for multimillion dollar capital projects to help automate and create efficiencies

Ability to design fixtures and tooling using Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or Catia
