Responsibilities

The Facility Maintenance Tech III will be responsible for advanced level work, as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership. You will be a valuable team member, necessary to maintain the service life of company assets in an operative and safe working condition. Your 100% commitment to excellence, and maximum effort will provide a safe and comfortable environment when patients and families need it most.

Qualifications

Education:

+ High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience:

Minimum six years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar facility or similar work environment, required.

+ Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a health care facility or similar work environment, preferred.

License: Valid Driver's License, required

Additional skills required:

+ Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

+ Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards.

+ Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance.

+ Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.

Additional skills preferred:

+ Broad knowledge of the principles of design, operation and repair or all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.

+ Knowledge in reading and understanding building system drawings.

+ Understanding or health care facility infection prevention requirements as they related to maintenance activities.

+ Knowledge of universal hazardous materials waste as it relates to maintenance activities.
