Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, you will support the delivery of specialized and complex therapies to patients. This role involves close collaboration with patients, prescribers, and colleagues to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
+ Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and colleagues through phone calls, emails, and faxes.
+ Process prescription orders, refills, and copays under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
+ Fulfil and package prescriptions for shipment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
+ Research financial assistance options to support patients with medication access.
+ Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of medications.
+ Complete required documentation, including labels, log sheets, and reports.
+ Participate in the on-call rotation as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
+ Active California State Pharmacy Technician License.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician (retail, specialty, or mail order pharmacy experience preferred).
+ Strong computer skills, including basic proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
+ Experience in specialty pharmacy.
Education
+ High school diploma or GED (required).
