    Title I After the Bell Tutor Aide

    POSITION TITLE:

    Title I After the Bell Tutor Aide

     

    South Bend Junior Academy

     

    Hourly rate: $20.00/hour

    GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

    Reports to: Building Principal, Director of Title I, After-School Tutor

     

    After School Only

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Works individually or in small groups with students under the direct supervision and in close proximity of a certified teacher providing intervention support in reading, language arts, and math for the after school tutoring program

    Minimum Qualifications:

    * College degree, completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or successful completion of the Para-Pro examination.

    * Ability to follow directions; work as a team with staff and students, and display mature and professional judgment when dealing with students and adults. Prior experience in working with children in a primary school environment is desirable.

    * Individuals with previous experience working in a school setting will be given priority.
