About The Role:
The shift for this position is 12am-8am, Saturday-Wednesday (Thursday/Friday off)
One Pierrepont Plaza is a 19-story, Class A office tower, located at the intersection of historic Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn. The building measures 775,000 sq. ft. and offers unobstructed Manhattan views. Property updates to come include a new lobby café and renovated outdoor plaza. One Pierrepont is offering a unique 102,000 RSF “building within a building” opportunity complete with signage options and potential for a private lobby and 4,000 sq. ft. private terrace. The building is accessible via 12 nearby subway and bus lines, and the location also provides convenient access to the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

As a CBRE Union Engineer, you will be a part of a team responsible for a building's mechanical & HVAC systems equipment operation and maintenance.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
+ Have thorough knowledge of the building’s mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure and operations.
+ Perform maintenance and repairs of all equipment incidental to the operation of the building mechanical and HVAC systems
+ Perform general labor work as assigned including receiving deliveries, loading, unloading, moving materials, and putting away stock.
+ Perform housekeeping functions within all mechanical and HVAC spaces for upkeep. This includes, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and painting.
+ Perform or supervise building checks of mechanical areas and logging conditions during daily rounds.
+ Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own job field and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
+ Manage shift personnel ensuring all employees follow standard policies and procedures.
+ Maintain all required licenses and certificates.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
+ Explain difficult or sensitive information.

+ Required Certificate of Qualification (Q-01/Q-99) for Refrigeration System Operating Engineer issued by the New York City Fire Department.
+ At least five of the following certificates of fitness issued by the New York City Fire Department:
+ A35 - Operate and Maintain Air Compressors
+ F60 – Fire Guard for Torch Operation
+ G60 – Torch Operation
+ S12 – Citywide Sprinkler System
+ S13 – Standpipe System
+ S14 – Standpipe System, multi zone
+ S95 – Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems
+ F01 – Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment
+ P98 – Supervise Fuel Oil Transfer
+ P99 – Low Pressure Oil Burner Operator
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ Advanced Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with a skillful inquisitive mentality.
+ Proven ability to optimally communicate.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $107,036.80 annually [or $51.46 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
