• Casework Supervisor

    KidsPeace Childrens Hospital (Chesterfield, VA)


    The Casework Supervisor is responsible for the planning and implementation of the direct treatment and overall management of clients on his/her caseload. The Casework Supervisor also oversees the process of training and supervision of Caseworkers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline required; Master's degree preferred.

    + Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.

    + Valid driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certifications required.

    + Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.

    + Must be 21 years of age.

    JOB DUTIES:

    + Mentor and train new Caseworkers.

    + Carry a limited caseload to assist the office.

    + Participate in the pre-admission screening of client referrals.

    + Participate in the placement procedure for clients.

    + Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Individualized Service Plan as per state requirements - electronic or other.

    + Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Caseworkers under direct supervision to help in the resolution of problems, to enhance interpersonal and therapeutic skills and to reinforce the work of, and adjustment to, the treatment family.

    + Act as an advocate and liaison for clients with other professional service providers in the community and with the KidsPeace organization as necessary.

    + Prepare and complete all reports, statistical information and other file requirements as per agency policy and state mandated regulations.

    + Participate in ongoing trainings, electronic or otherwise as indicated by state regulations or KidsPeace policy.

    + Provide Quality Assurance and implementation of a tracking system to assure all documentation is completed per KidsPeace policy and state regulations.

    + Ensure that Caseworkers are using Resiliency Theory as evidenced by 1) an awareness of risk factors for their caseload and 2) by being able to identify methods for working with foster parents to improve protective factors.

    + Participate in On-Call.

    + All other duties as assigned by management.
