In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with daily operational tasks such as instance management, object and config migrations, and patch installations, while supporting application deployments and monitoring activities. We are looking for a network sleuth who can act as an entry-level technical point of contact for assigned teams, while assisting with system performance analysis, resolving issues, and recommending improvements.

The ideal candidate will have:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study from an accredited college or university; In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education, experience or certifications may be substitutable on a 1:1 basis
+ Minimum six (6) months of technical support experience in the areas of Desktops, Browsers, Networking, Databases and Servers
+ Working knowledge and familiarity with base IT concepts, while being exposed to other software applications like Visio, system monitoring tools, BMC footprints, Control M and scripting languages. Familiar understanding of IP concepts and core technologies such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and MS 365 Pro; strong troubleshooting abilities are essential
+ May be required to respond 24/7/365; as scheduled for on-call support (depending on area of assignment)
+ Ability to learn structured methodologies, such as FADE, SDLC, Agile and other best practices, while making arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratio and percentages

**Salary Range:** $68,045 - $85,058 annually - commensurate with experience

Job Purpose:
Supports the maintenance, integrity, availability, accessibility, and up-to-date patching of various application systems. Serves as an entry-level technical resource for Enterprise Application Solutions team, assisting both technical and functional staff in identifying and resolving application-related issues.
Primary Functions:
+ Serve as an entry-level technical point of contact for assigned team and liaison between application services and both technical and functional staff;
+ Assist in identifying and resolving issues (including those involving third-party systems or vendors);
+ Coordinate with application vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues including opening and tracking vendor support cases and ensuring timely, high quality resolutions, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Review and help maintain system technical documentation, technical standards and roadmaps;
+ Support the maintenance of multiple application environments by assisting with the implementation of patching and configuration changes using best practices through the development lifecycle (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod, etc), under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Monitor and help maintain the technical infrastructure to ensure application environments remain stable, available, and aligned with project and production needs, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Assist with daily operational tasks such as instance management, object and configuration migrations, patch installations, release/version tracking, and middleware (Weblogic) security configurations, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Assist in collaborating with cross-functional teams including database, server, network, security, and application support staff to ensure the effective operation of OUC’s software applications;
+ Support application deployments and monitoring activities, including server health checks, patch and release planning, application service pack upgrades, framework upgrades and performance tuning. Maintain documentation on system functionality, performance benchmarks and system integrations, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Assist with assigned performance analysis by reviewing findings, identifying potential infrastructure issues (e.g., network, database, vendor-related), recommending improvements and documenting all issues with detailed resolution and root cause analysis;
+ Provide documented daily system/application health checks using predetermined documentation created by the department;
+ Participate in OUC’s IT governance processes, including IT Change Control, IT Standards, and Process Improvement meetings and initiatives;
+ Participate in application upgrades, patching, testing, and production implementations, including planned system maintenance during scheduled outages, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Support routine small to large-scale technology projects as needed, ensuring non-functional requirements, such as back up, recovery, environment configuration, source control and monitoring are followed according to best practices, under direct supervision or guidance from a senior team member;
+ Follow established IT processes including triage, SDLC, and change management to promote new or updated components across environments;
+ Liaise with software vendors to report, track and resolve technical issues;
+ May be required to work scheduled on-call rotation responsibilities and provide support during required rotation to maintain operational continuity (depending on area of assignment);
+ Collaborate with IT Support Center to assist with application-related incidents and service requests;
+ Perform other related duties as directed;
Technical Requirements:
+ Working knowledge in all, but not limited to, the following :
+ Familiarity with base IT concepts surrounding Desktops, Browsers, Networking, Databases and Servers;
+ Exposure to other Software Applications to include: Visio, System monitoring tools (i.e. Windows Task Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SCOM, Solarwinds, etc.);
+ BMC Footprints or similar tools (IT Service request, change management, solution request);
+ Control M for schedules system-initiated processes (or applicable application job scheduler);
+ May require a familiarity with scripting languages (python, powershell, etc.) -depending on area of assignment;
+ May require application knowledge such as CCB, MDM, SOA, SGG, Weblogics (depending on area of assignment).
+ May be required to respond 24/7/365; as scheduled for on-call support (depending on area of assignment);
+ Ability to:
+ Learn structured methodologies such as FADE, SDLC, Agile, and other best practices;
+ Understand system technical documentation;
+ Take on new system assignments and learn new technologies;
+ Research and implement monitoring tools;
+ Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratio and percentages;
+ Use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and use standard office equipment (computer, fax, telephone, copier, etc.).
