Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the steel industry, is seeking a Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As a Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Melt Shop operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

+ Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for melt shop equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

+ Lead a team of skilled maintenance mechanics to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime

+ Oversee maintenance and repair of overhead cranes, scrap handling equipment, and HVAC systems

+ Implement and prioritize preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance

+ Investigate equipment failures, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions promptly

What's Needed?

+ Formal training in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with 8-10 years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience

+ Experience supervising a team of maintenance technicians or millwrights

+ Knowledge of melt shop equipment, systems, and safety procedures

+ Union experience is a significant advantage

+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
