Our client, a dynamic organization in the finance and accounting industry, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Tax Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have detail-oriented skills, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Tax Accountant

**Pay Range:** $55,000 - $57,000 annually

What's the Job?

+ Prepare sales and use tax returns for all US states to ensure compliance with state laws.

+ Assist in preparing Canadian GST/HST/PST/QST returns and commercial rent tax returns for New York City agencies.

+ Support the preparation of annual reports and miscellaneous business tax filings.

+ Maintain and update tax systems such as Vertex and Diagnostax, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

+ Collaborate with external auditors and manage unclaimed property reporting and escheatment processes.

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA designation is a plus.

+ 1-3 years of accounting experience.

+ Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
