Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The role involves working in the shipping department of a production facility. You will be responsible for operating in both the warehouse and production areas, managing the flow of materials, and ensuring finished goods are ready for shipment.
Responsibilities
+ Supply materials to the production lines.
+ Track material flow and inventory.
+ Skid wrap and palletize products.
+ Utilize an RF Scanner.
+ Operate a reach truck to load trucks and transport materials.
+ Occasionally use a cherry picker.
+ Ship products using UPS and FedEx.
Essential Skills
+ 1 year of forklift experience.
+ Ability to read, write, and speak English.
+ Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
+ Computer literacy.
+ Strong attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience as a material handler in a manufacturing setting.
+ OSHA Forklift Certification.
+ Basic knowledge of JDE systems and Kanban.
+ Experience working in a lean manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
The production facility and warehouse are separate areas where you will be expected to work. The plant is well-lit and relatively clean, but not climate-controlled, meaning it can get hot during the summer months. Safety is a top priority, reflected in the company's culture.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
