    We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on 40mm programs and serving as the systems prime/sole supplier for DoD programs related to 40mm. This role involves research, development, and enhancement of manufacturing processes and materials, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Research and develop new manufacturing processes and materials.

    + Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement.

    + Evaluate designs and plan layout of equipment for production.

    + Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes.

    + Address safety issues and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

    + Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and production staff to ensure quality and efficiency.

    + Support ballistics testing and analyze data from tests.

    + Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures in line with company quality policies.

    + Support technical insertion activities and manage project implementation.

    + Analyze drawings and technical data to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

    + Participate in weekly Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as required.

    + Develop cost estimates for process implementation and production.

    + Document all created and modified processes.

    Essential Skills

    + Project management experience.

    + Mechanical engineering expertise.

    + Systems engineering knowledge.

    + Customer relations skills.

    + Experience in the defense industry.

    + BSME or BSEIT degree.

    + Experience in regulated manufacturing engineering, including troubleshooting processes, automated cells, high volume/low mix production.

    + Experience working with suppliers and co-manufacturers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + R&D engineering experience, including prototyping and testing.

    + Defense industry program experience.

    + Program management skills.

    + Project engineering expertise.

    + Experience with Solidworks.

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in the Defense industry.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule follows a 9/80 plan, with four nine-hour days and an eight-hour Friday every other week, allowing for every other Friday off. Flexible hours are possible within an hour each way, as long as consistency is maintained. Travel is required 25-30% of the time, typically for 2-4 days once a month, with company-covered expenses. The work environment is clean, with a growth mindset that opens doors for advancement. The role involves regular collaboration with inspectors, manufacturing, and the SQE team.     This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
