Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing 40mm programs as the sole supplier for Department of Defense programs. You will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions in the defense sector.

Responsibilities

+ Research and develop new manufacturing processes and materials.

+ Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.

+ Evaluate designs and plan layout of equipment for production.

+ Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes.

+ Address issues of safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

+ Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and production staff to ensure quality and efficiency.

+ Support ballistics testing and analyze data from that testing.

+ Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures in line with company quality policies.

+ Support technical insertion activities and manage project implementation.

+ Analyze all drawing and technical data specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

+ Participate in weekly Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as required.

+ Develop cost estimates for process implementation and production.

+ Document all created and modified processes.

+ Experience with Solidworks

+ 5+ years of experience in the Defense industry

Work Environment

The work environment offers a clean and stable setting with a growth mindset. The schedule is a 9/80 work schedule with flexibility, allowing every other Friday off. Travel is required approximately 25-30% of the time, usually for 2-4 days a month, with expenses covered by the company. The role involves working with inspectors, manufacturing, and the SQE team. Tuition reimbursement is available.

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
