    Quality Control Laboratory Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform quality checks on the production floor and ensure the highest standards of product integrity are maintained. This role is crucial in supporting our production process through rigorous testing and evaluation of raw, in-process, and finished products.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct product pulls of raw, in-process, and finished samples for testing as needed.

    + Keep records and administer proper labels of products and conduct various shelf life evaluations.

    + Verify product labeling and code dates.

    + Perform all chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, process controls, and finished product samples.

    + Conduct sensory analysis on finished products, including tasting and smelling.

    + Perform plant audits and complete necessary checklists.

    + Conduct benchtop testing in the laboratory.

    + Operate lab equipment such as titrators, perform calibrations as required by SOP, and troubleshoot as necessary.

    + Maintain organization and cleanliness within the laboratory.

    + Communicate crucial process control testing and product evaluation results to management as specified by SOPs.

    + Maintain the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) by performing daily data entry of sample identification and results.

    + Verify supply inventories, restock, and prepare supplies as needed.

    + Perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor and work within a team.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in a Science discipline (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry).

    + Proficiency in quality control, chemistry, microbiology, and laboratory techniques.

    + Ability to prioritize duties and efficiently manage time in a high-demand environment.

    + Ability to read and interpret SOPs.

    + Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in GMP, QC, and quality assurance practices.

    + Familiarity with wet chemistry, visual inspection, and titration.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working both in a laboratory and on the production floor. The environment is cool due to the need to maintain low temperatures for dairy products. Responsibilities include quality checks on the plant floor, such as swabbing and temperature checks, as well as conducting tests in the lab.     This is a Permanent position based out of WOOSTER, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00/yr.

     

    401K, PTO and holiday. They also receive medical, dental, and vision benefits.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in WOOSTER,OH.
